Disney+ is available on a wide range of TV platforms, either as part of a pay TV bundle or through the Disney+ app on smart devices.
Subscriptions start from £5.99 per month, with all plans including full 1080p HD streaming as standard and selected content available in Ultra HD on compatible devices.
This guide explains how to get Disney+ on your TV through Sky, Virgin Media, or standalone streaming devices, and which option makes the most sense depending on how you watch.

At a glance: Where to watch Disney+
Disney+ can be added to both Sky TV and Virgin Media TV subscriptions, with the cost billed alongside a customer's TV package.
The Disney+ app is supported on Sky Stream and Sky Q, as well as Virgin Media's TV 360 and Stream platforms.
Here are the base TV packages from Sky and Virgin Media that Disney+ can be added to:
| Package | TV | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |

It's also possible to watch Disney+ on TalkTalk for customers with the Android TV Hub by downloading the Disney+ app from the Google Play Store.
EE TV Box Pro does not currently support the Disney+ app. However, EE TV customers who choose an Apple TV box as their main TV device can download and watch Disney+ directly via the Apple TV App Store. Disney+ can also be watched on compatible smart TVs or other streaming devices alongside BT and EE TV.
Disney+ subscriptions start from £5.99 per month with the ad-supported Standard with Ads plan. Support and billing options vary depending on whether customers subscribe directly or add Disney+ through Sky or Virgin Media.
Here are the three Disney+ subscription options and how they're supported across TV platforms:
| Standard with Ads | Standard | Premium | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly price | £5.99 | £9.99 | £14.99 |
| Ad-supported | Yes | No | No |
| Resolution | 1080p HD | 1080p HD | 4K Ultra HD HDR |
| Concurrent streams | 2 | 2 | 4 |

| Supported on TalkTalk TV | Yes (separate billing via app) | Yes (separate billing via app) | Yes (separate billing via app) |

Sky only supports Disney+ Premium through its billing system. Sky TV customers can still access the other Disney+ tiers by signing up directly through the Disney+ app and paying for the subscription separately.
Virgin Media TV boxes support Disney+ Standard and Disney+ Premium, but there's currently no way to access the cheaper ad-supported tier on the Virgin Media platform.
Customers with Virgin Media Flex can receive a 10% bill credit on Disney+ subscriptions billed through Virgin Media, reducing the effective monthly cost.

Disney+ isn't supported on the EE TV Box Pro, or on older TalkTalk TV platforms such as YouView or Netgem TV boxes.
However, customers can also subscribe to Disney+ directly and watch it on a TV using a wide range of smart devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Android TV, and selected LG, Panasonic and Samsung smart TVs.
Disney Plus offers
Here are some of the top Disney+ offers and savings currently available in the UK:
- 10% off Disney+ with Virgin Media Flex as a bill credit, available on a monthly rolling contract
- 12 months for the price of 10 (approximately 16% off) when paying for a year upfront directly with Disney+ on Standard and Premium plans
- Up to 6 months free Disney+ Standard or Premium for new or upgrading O2 mobile customers, and ongoing monthly bill credits for existing customers
- Disney+ included (Standard or Premium) on selected Vodafone Entertainment plans when added to mobile or broadband packages
- Seasonal limited-time discounts on direct Disney+ sign-ups, such as reduced prices for the first three months of service
Customers who take Disney+ with Virgin Media's Flex can get a 10% credit on their bill for each subscription they add, including Disney+. This reduces the effective monthly cost of the Disney+ subscription.
| Package | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |

Paying for an annual Disney+ subscription directly can also save money, with 12 months for the price of 10 available on the Standard and Premium plans when paid up front. This works out as about a 16% saving compared with paying monthly.
O2 mobile customers can get Disney+ free for up to six months as a promotional offer, depending on the specific phone plan they choose, and can continue to receive monthly bill credits if they add Disney+ as an Extra.
Some mobile and broadband providers such as Vodafone also include Disney+ (usually on Standard or Premium plans) with selected Entertainment bundles, meaning customers get the streaming service included for the length of the plan.
Direct sign-ups to Disney+ sometimes include limited-time introductory price reductions - for example, discounted monthly rates for the first three months on any plan.
Disney+ on Virgin Media
Virgin Media added support for Disney+ on its TV 360 and Stream platforms in August 2022, and Disney+ can be added to any Virgin Media TV plan with no requirement to take a specific bundle or channel pack.
Virgin Media supports Disney+ Standard and Disney+ Premium subscriptions, with billing integrated into the customer's Virgin Media account. The cheaper ad-supported Disney+ plan is not currently supported on the Virgin Media platform.
Customers who add Disney+ through Virgin Media Flex can receive a 10% bill credit on Disney+ and other add-on subscriptions, reducing the effective monthly cost.
Here are the latest prices for Virgin Media's most popular plans:
| Package | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |

Disney Plus on Sky
Sky became an official partner to Disney+ in the UK in March 2020, confirming the service would be integrated into its TV platform.
This partnership allows Disney+ to be billed directly through a customer's Sky account, which is not possible on most other TV platforms.
New customers can add Disney+ when signing up for Sky TV online, while existing customers can add it through the Sky TV menu system.
However, Sky's integrated billing only supports the Disney+ Premium plan, which currently costs £14.99 per month. Customers who want the cheaper Disney+ Standard or ad-supported plans can still access Disney+ via the app on Sky, but must subscribe and pay for those tiers directly with Disney+ rather than through Sky.
Disney+ is supported on Sky Stream, Sky Glass, and the older Sky Q platform.
Sky TV packages start from:
| Package | TV | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
Sky Essential TV | 100 | £15 | Free | 24 months |
|
Sky Ultimate TV | 142 | £22 | Free | 24 months |
Sky TV can also be bundled with Sky broadband:

Disney Plus on TalkTalk TV
TalkTalk TV does not support integrated billing for Disney+, unlike Sky and Virgin Media. However, customers with the newer Android TV Hub can download the Disney+ app directly from the Google Play Store.
Older TalkTalk TV platforms do not support Disney+. This includes:
- TalkTalk YouView boxes
- Earlier TalkTalk TV Hub and TV Hub Plus boxes (pre-Android TV)
- Netgem TV boxes supplied by TalkTalk
Customers using any of these older boxes will need to watch Disney+ via a separate smart device, such as a smart TV app, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast or games console.
Disney+ subscriptions taken via the Android TV Hub are billed directly by Disney at standard retail prices.
The TalkTalk Android TV Hub supports up to 4K Ultra HD playback. Disney+ titles available in Dolby Atmos can also be viewed in supported formats when used with compatible TV and audio equipment.
Disney Plus on BT and EE TV
While Disney Plus is available on both Sky and Virgin Media, it is not currently supported on BT TV or EE TV.
The Disney+ app is not available on the BT TV Box Pro or the equivalent EE TV Box Pro, meaning customers cannot watch Disney+ directly through these set-top boxes.
However, BT and EE TV customers can still watch Disney+ on their TV using a separate compatible device. This includes:
- Smart TVs with a built-in Disney+ app
- Amazon Fire TV sticks
- Apple TV (4K and HD models)
- Chromecast
- Games consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox
Some EE customers may already use Apple TV alongside their broadband or mobile setup, which provides full access to Disney+ including 4K Ultra HD and Dolby Atmos where supported.
Disney Plus app
If you don't want to watch Disney Plus through Sky or Virgin Media, you can sign up directly with Disney and watch using the Disney+ app on a wide range of smart devices.
Prices are the same as subscribing through Disney+ directly. At the time of writing, plans start from £5.99 per month for the ad-supported tier, £9.99 per month for the Standard tier, or £14.99 per month for Premium (with annual options available too).
The Disney+ app is supported on:
- Amazon Fire TV devices
- Apple TV (4th generation and later)
- Android TV and Google TV devices
- Chromecast and Chromecast-enabled devices
- Roku streaming devices
- PlayStation consoles (PS4 and PS5)
- Xbox consoles (Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S)
- Smart TVs (including selected models from Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), Hisense and Panasonic)
- NOW devices (NOW Smart Stick, NOW Smart Box with 4K and Voice Search, NOW Smart Box with Freeview, and Black NOW Box)
It's also possible to watch Disney+ on smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers (via the Disney+ app or a compatible web browser).
Device support can change over time, especially on older hardware, so it's worth checking Disney's official supported devices list if you're not sure your TV or box is compatible.
What's on Disney Plus?
Disney Plus became the exclusive home of Disney-owned TV content in the UK after the Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior were withdrawn from pay TV platforms in October 2020.
The service brings together content that previously aired on those channels, alongside a vast back catalogue of films and series from across the wider Disney portfolio.
Disney+ content is organised into six main brand hubs, each covering a distinct part of the catalogue.
Disney
The Disney hub includes classic animated films, live-action remakes, and family-focused originals produced under the core Disney brand.
It spans everything from early titles such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs through to modern releases like Raya and the Last Dragon, Encanto and live-action adaptations including The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.
The hub also features Disney+ Originals such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Santa Clauses and National Treasure: Edge of History, alongside series that previously aired on the Disney Channel and short-form content starring characters like Mickey Mouse.
Pixar
Since being acquired by Disney in 2006, Pixar has become a central part of the Disney+ offering.
The Pixar hub includes the full catalogue of feature films such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo and The Incredibles, alongside newer titles like Soul, Luca and Turning Red.
Pixar Originals on Disney+ include spin-off and short-form series such as Monsters at Work, Dug Days, Cars on the Road and Win or Lose, which expand on established franchises.
Marvel
The Marvel hub covers the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including all core MCU films alongside a growing slate of Disney+ Original series.
These include titles such as WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Ms Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Secret Invasion and Echo.
The app includes timeline and collection views, allowing viewers to watch films and series in chronological or release order, as well as behind-the-scenes content and selected legacy animated series.
Star Wars
All Star Wars films are available within the Star Wars hub, from the original trilogy through to the sequel films.
These are joined by Disney+ Originals such as The Mandalorian, Andor, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett, alongside animated series including The Clone Wars, Rebels and The Bad Batch.
As with Marvel, Star Wars content can be explored through curated timelines and collections.
National Geographic
The National Geographic hub focuses on documentaries and factual programming.
Content ranges from nature and wildlife series to science, history and real-world event documentaries.
Notable National Geographic Originals include Free Solo, Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, Welcome to Earth and Secrets of the Whales, alongside a broader catalogue of educational and family-friendly content.
Star
Star was added to Disney+ in the UK in February 2021 and acts as the platform's home for more adult-focused entertainment.
This hub includes general entertainment series and films from Disney-owned studios such as FX, 20th Century Studios and ABC.
Star Originals and exclusives available in the UK include titles such as The Bear, Only Murders in the Building, Welcome to Wrexham, Dopesick, Pam & Tommy and Extraordinary.
Categories within Star typically include:
- Drama series
- Comedy series
- Adult animation
- Action and thriller films
- Romantic comedies
- Horror
The addition of Star significantly expanded the scope of Disney+, transforming it from a primarily family-focused service into a broader all-round streaming platform.
Verdict: Where to watch Disney Plus
Disney Plus launched in the UK in March 2020 and brings together films and series from across the Disney catalogue, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and the Star entertainment hub.
According to Ofcom's Media Nations 2025 report, around 68% of UK households had a subscription to at least one paid video-on-demand service in early 2025, with Disney+ present in roughly 25% of households - behind Netflix at about 59% and Amazon Prime Video at about 46%.
Unlike Netflix, Disney+ offers the same catalogue across all plans, but video quality and features now depend on which tier customers choose. Both the Standard with Ads and Standard plans stream in full 1080p HD, while Ultra HD (4K HDR) and higher concurrent streaming limits are reserved for the Premium plan.
Disney+ can be added directly to both Sky TV and Virgin Media subscriptions, allowing customers to manage everything through a single bill. Sky supports integrated billing for Disney+ Premium only, while Virgin Media supports Standard and Premium plans but not the ad-supported tier.
Customers using Virgin Media Flex can benefit from a 10% bill credit on Disney+ and other add-on subscriptions, reducing the effective monthly cost without locking into a long contract.
There are also savings available outside pay TV platforms. O2 mobile customers can get up to six months of Disney+ included with eligible plans, or a monthly discount when added as an Extra. Vodafone customers can get Disney+ Standard included with selected Vodafone Entertainment plans, while customers who subscribe directly with Disney+ can save 16% by paying annually on Standard or Premium plans.
Overall, Disney+ is best suited to viewers who want a single service covering family content, major franchises and more adult-focused series through Star. Sky and Virgin Media offer the most seamless TV integration, while subscribing directly provides the widest choice of plans and devices.
