TNT Sports is the new home of BT Sport and Eurosport, having been merged in July 2023 and February 2025. Yet, customers can still access the same line-up and sporting events from these channels.
Virgin Media remains the cheapest place to watch BT Sport, with TNT Sports subscriptions costing from as little as £22.50 per month with Flex.
It's also possible to add BT Sport to Virgin Media's Mega TV plans, as well as watch it through BT TV, Sky TV, and directly on the Discovery+ app.

How to watch BT Sport
While new customer offers can be a useful way to save money, the cheapest way to watch BT Sport will depend on the other services a customer wants, and whether they're in a position to bundle broadband.
Virgin Media offers the cheapest add-on price for the BT Sport pack at £22.50 per month with Flex, and they include the channels in HD and UHD as standard.
Yet, for those who want more TV, customers will want to look to Sky or Virgin Media's Mega TV plans, which also include a range of additional premium pay TV channels and Netflix.

---|---|---|---|
Virgin Media Flex | £22.50 after 10% bill credit offer | HD & UHD | 1 month |

BT | £23 | SD | 1 month |
BT | £29 | HD | 1 month |
Sky TV | £28 (or £25 with Sky Sports) | HD | 1 month |

Discovery+ TNT Sports | £30.99 | HD | 1 month |
Discovery+ TNT Sports & Entertainment | £33.99 | HD | 1 month |
The Discovery+ app is available on a range of devices including Apple TV, Xbox, Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung, Roku, and Chromecast.
BT Sport bundles
The BT Sport add-on price is just one way of comparing deals and might not provide the cheapest overall option, especially for customers who want other TV channels or to bundle a specific broadband plan.
Here are the cheapest TV and broadband bundles with BT Sport:
Package | TV | Broadband | Monthly price | Upfront price | Contract term | |

BT offer the cheapest BT Sport bundle with their Sport TV plan and Full Fibre 150 broadband, costing just £23 per month for BT Sport and £27.99 for the broadband.
BT also offer a good value for money as customers can currently get up to a £150 Reward Card plus free setup. Although note that viewers will have to pay £6 more to watch BT Sport in full 1080p HD.
The second cheapest way to watch BT Sport is with Virgin Media Flex, which includes all of the BT Sport channels in HD as well as BT Sport Ultimate in 4K, while BT only include the BT Sport channels in SD, and charge an extra £6 per month for the HD pack, so Virgin Media could work out cheaper overall.
For more content, customers can also save with Virgin Media's Mega TV plans, which also includes their fast fibre broadband. This now costs £61.99 per month with the TNT Sports Collection added as an optional extra.
Sky TV is more expensive for BT Sport, and therefore is probably only a good option if customers also want to take Sky Sports, as they'll get an additional £3 monthly discount on the BT Sport pack and Sky Sports is reduced too.

As we've seen, the absolute cheapest way to watch BT Sport as an add-on in a bundle is with Virgin Media's new Flex service.

BT Sport on Sky
The BT Sport pack is fairly expensive on Sky compared to BT and Virgin Media, yet for those who also want Sky Sports it's worth knowing what's on offer.
BT Sport costs £31 per month on Sky TV, although it's currently reduced to £28 per month, and £25 per month for customers who also take a Sky Sports pack.

The BT Sport channels are included in HD as standard, although customers will have to upgrade to the Ultra HD pack at £6 per month to access BT Sport Ultimate 4K.
It's available on both Sky Stream and Sky Q, although Sky Q customers can only add the BT Sport pack on a 24-month contract, while Sky Stream viewers are tied for just 1 month.

Sky TV offers the following channels in its BT Sport pack:

BT Sport on NOW
While it's possible to sign up to the Sky Sports pack on NOW through either a full Sports Membership or a day pass, NOW doesn't offer the ability to watch BT Sport.
It's most likely that customers who watch NOW through a smart device, console or smart TV, will also be able to access the BT Sport app, allowing them the ability to stream both Sky Sports and BT Sport.
See below for more on the BT Sport app, or read our review of NOW TV.
BT Sport on Plusnet
Plusnet broadband customers used to be able to access a discount on the BT Sport pack on Sky TV, however, this was discontinued in May 2023.
Before the offer was ended, Plusnet broadband customers could add the pack in SD for £17.15 per month, and £20.01 for the pack in HD, which offered savings of around £8 per month.
In May 2023, Plusnet also discontinued the offer for broadband customers who signed up to the BT Sport Monthly Pass, which was also reduced to £17.15 from the usual price of £29.99.
The removal of these offers come after Plusnet-owner BT has refocused the budget brand to offer simple broadband packages with no frills, as the Plusnet TV and Plusnet Mobile services have also now been withdrawn.
Discovery+ TNT Sports
The Discovery+ app can be access through a range of smart devices and is a good way to watch BT Sport and Eurosport for anyone who doesn't want to switch broadband or take out a pay TV plan.
The Discovery+ TNT Sports plan costs £30.99 per month, and includes BT Sport in HD as well as access to the BT Sport Ultimate channel. Customers will also get Eurosport, and they can pay an extra £3 per month for the entertainment channels in the Discovery+ Entertainment plan as well.
Supported devices include:
- Xbox One, Series X and Series S
- Chromecast (Gen 2 and newer)
- Fire TV
- Android TV
- Kindle Fire Tablet
- Apple TV (4th gen onwards)
- Samsung Smart TVs (2017 onwards)
- LG TVs (2018 onwards)
- Roku
While there are no longer discounts for customers of BT, EE or Plusnet, some broadband customers get Discovery+ Entertainment included for free.
Entertainment doesn't include TNT Sports or BT Sport, but it does include Animal Planet, Discovery, Discovery History, Discovery Science, DMAX, Food Network, HGTV, ID, Quest, Quest Red, TLC and Turbo.
Discovery+ Entertainment is included for free for both BT and Sky TV customers, while those who take the TNT Sports pack also gain access to Discovery+ TNT Sports & Entertainment.
How to get BT Sport for free
BT have recently started offering some major live matches free-to-air through the BT Sport app, the BT Sport YouTube channel, and on btsport.com.
In May 2023, they announced they would be making three football league final matches free for anyone to watch, including the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and the Europa Conference League finals.
It's a great way to watch BT Sport for free, and comes after BT Sport was acquired by Warner Bros Discovery, which is why the channel pack has been renamed TNT Sports.

Verdict: Best way to watch BT Sport
Virgin Media offer the cheapest TV and broadband bundles with BT Sport in HD and UHD as standard. The only downside is Virgin customers won't get Discovery+, and the app isn't supported by the TV 360 or Virgin Stream boxes yet either.
However, the cheapest way to watch BT Sport will really come down to what a customer wants from the home entertainment and telecoms services.
BT TV offers flexibility with monthly rolling contracts across each TV plan, allowing customers to switch between sports and entertainment as they wish. Yet, the overall price of BT services makes them a slightly more expensive choice to Virgin Media for those who want to watch in full HD.
While Sky include BT Sport in HD as standard, it's probably the most expensive way to watch BT Sport, although it may make sense to those who also want to bundle Sky Sports, and customers do get free access to Discovery+.
A Discovery+ TNT Sports subscription may be a good option for those with smart devices who don't want to switch broadband plans or take out a lengthy pay TV contract. Although there are no longer any exclusive discounts for certain customers.
Overall, our pick for the best way to watch BT Sport remains through Virgin Media, although customers will need to be living in a Virgin enabled area to benefit, otherwise its possible to save with BT TV and their Sport plan too.
