Launched in August 2024 for both new and existing Sky Sports subscribers, Sky Sports+ expands Sky's live and on-demand sports coverage.
The service adds extensive additional fixtures, including over 1,000 live English Football League matches, every game from the Women's Super League, and coverage from major tennis tournaments across the US Open, ATP and WTA tours.
Sky Sports+ is included at no extra cost for existing Sky Sports customers, with support available on Sky Stream, Sky Glass, Sky Q, NOW, Virgin Media platforms, and the Sky Sports mobile app.

Sky Sports Plus: Overview
Sky Sports+ combines additional on-demand live streams with a dedicated linear channel, allowing Sky to show significantly more live sport at the same time.
The service adds extra live and pre-recorded content alongside existing Sky Sports channels, as well as a new Sky Sports+ linear channel within the TV guide.
Sky Sports+ is now available at no extra cost to customers with the Sky Sports Complete pack on the following platforms:
- Sky Stream
- Sky Glass
- Sky Q
- Virgin Media TV 360
- Virgin Media Flex
- NOW
- Sky Sports mobile app
BT TV, EE TV and TalkTalk customers can also access Sky Sports+ through the NOW app when Sky Sports is included in their TV package.
Alongside increased coverage, Sky Sports+ introduces additional viewing features such as the ability to pause and rewind concurrent live streams. Sky has also extended its 'Recap' feature - previously available on Premier League and Championship coverage - to selected EFL matches.
Where can I watch Sky Sports+?
Sky Sports+ is supported on Sky Stream, Sky Glass and Sky Q. Older satellite-only boxes, such as Sky+ HD, are not supported as Sky Sports+ relies on an internet connection.
Sky Sports+ is also available to Virgin Media customers using the TV 360 or Stream platforms.
NOW customers may benefit the most from Sky Sports+, as the service introduces features such as pause and rewind live TV for the first time on both Sky Sports Day and Month Memberships.
Customers using older boxes, including Virgin V6 or Sky+ HD, will not have access to most Sky Sports+ content. However, they will still receive the Sky Sports+ linear channel provided they have a full Sky Sports subscription.
Our guide to the cheapest Sky Sports offers explains where to subscribe to the full Sky Sports pack, including Sky Sports+, and compares current pricing.
For example, Sky's Essential TV plan starts from £15 per month, and customers can add Sky Sports for the same discounted £20 per month as on Sky Ultimate TV, making it one of the cheapest ways to access Sky Sports+.

At the time of writing, Virgin Media offers the cheapest Sky Sports bundles that include Sky Sports+, edging Sky by just 1p per month on comparable packages.
Sky TV remains one of the best-value options overall, however. Sky includes Sky Sports in full 1080p HD as standard and allows customers to upgrade to Sky Sports Ultra HD for £6 per month, an option that is not available with BT, EE or TalkTalk.
Virgin Media's M500 Sports HD + Netflix plan also includes Sky Sports+ and access to the Sky Sports mobile app, with the option to upgrade to Sky Sports Ultra HD for an extra £7 per month.
BT and EE's Big Sport TV packs appear more expensive at first glance, but they bundle Sky Sports with TNT Sports. Customers should note that Sky Sports is delivered via NOW and requires a £6 per month HD upgrade to watch in full 1080p HD.

How does Sky Sports+ work?
Sky Sports+ uses enhanced streaming infrastructure to allow Sky to show far more live sport concurrently than was previously possible.
This means customers can access a much larger number of live matches and events on demand, alongside improved discovery features within supported TV platforms and apps.
New personalisation tools allow viewers to follow favourite teams and leagues more easily, while expanded live scores and fixtures sections provide coverage beyond the traditional broadcast schedule.
Sky Sports+ also includes a dedicated linear Sky Sports+ channel, which showcases selected live events and highlights in a traditional TV format. This channel has replaced the former Sky Sports Arena channel.
Introduced at the start of the EFL season, Sky Sports+ significantly expands English Football League coverage, with live matches available across the Championship, League One and League Two.
Additional features include the ability to pause and rewind live streams, which is new for NOW users, and the extension of Sky's 'Recap' feature - previously used for Premier League and Championship coverage - to selected EFL matches.
What sporting fixtures are on Sky Sports+?
Sky Sports+ launched in August 2024 alongside the start of the new EFL season, with additional live matches made available through both the Sky Sports+ linear channel and on-demand streaming.
At launch, Sky Sports+ expanded English Football League coverage, with a far greater number of Championship, League One and League Two matches available live than was previously possible. Selected fixtures are shown on the Sky Sports+ channel, while others are made available via on-demand streams.
The service continues to prioritise EFL football, with substantially increased coverage across the season, including extensive Carabao Cup fixtures and regular appearances for clubs across all three divisions.
Beyond football, Sky Sports+ also adds additional live and on-demand coverage across other sports already shown by Sky Sports, including rugby, golf and tennis.
Every match from the men's Super League is available via Sky Sports+, alongside expanded tennis coverage from the ATP and WTA Tours, the US Open, and selected PGA Tour events.
Sky Sports+ also includes access to exclusive sports documentaries and original programming, with some titles made available to Sky Sports subscribers ahead of their wider release.
Summary: Where to watch Sky Sports+
Sky Sports+ is included at no extra cost with any full Sky Sports subscription, adding significantly more live and on-demand content across football, tennis and other sports.
Virgin Media is currently the cheapest way to get Sky Sports+ in a TV and broadband bundle, undercutting Sky by a small margin while also including faster broadband speeds as standard. Virgin Media also includes Sky Sports and Sky Sports+ in full 1080p HD, with the option to upgrade to Ultra HD.
Sky TV remains the most flexible option, particularly for customers who want the widest platform support and access to additional content such as Sky Atlantic, Netflix and Discovery+ in the base TV package. Discounts are also available when bundling Sky broadband.
NOW, BT and EE TV, provide more flexible, contract-free routes to Sky Sports+, and NOW users benefit from new Sky Sports+ features such as pause and rewind on live matches. While NOW does offer Sky Sports in Ultra HD, this isn't supported on TalkTalk, BT or EE TV boxes, limiting UHD viewing in practice on those platforms.
Overall, Sky Sports+ significantly increases the value of a Sky Sports subscription. The best option will depend on whether customers prioritise lower bundle pricing and faster broadband (Virgin Media), platform flexibility and content breadth (Sky), or contract-free access (NOW).
