Londoners will soon be able to sign up to Vodafone broadband on the Community Fibre network.

Vodafone have announced a new partnership deal to provide retail broadband packages via Community Fibre's full fibre network.

The partnership will allow Vodafone to offer symmetrical speeds of up to 5Gbps across 1.3 million premises in London to their customer base.

Vodafone, now officially merged with Three UK, is also offering its home broadband services to Three mobile customers who previously took Fixed Wireless Access.

Vodafone will become Community Fibre's second wholesale reseller, bringing their full fibre to the home network connections to more customers.

The deal will allow Vodafone to resell packages offering broadband speeds up to 5Gbps across the capital, reaching a further 1.3 million premises.

Vodafone already resell broadband via Openreach and CityFibre networks, yet, with CityFibre unavailable in London, Vodafone will now be able to offer both faster download and upload speeds in the city.

BT Group's Openreach, while having the widest footprint of over 18.3 million, only offer download speeds up to 1.6Gbps on average with upload speeds only up to 105Mbps.

CityFibre, who now pass over 4.3 million premises, but none in London, now offer up to 5Gbps symmetrical speeds, with Vodafone already reselling their symmetrical 2.5Gbps connection.

Community Fibre launched their symmetrical 5Gbps connection in April 2025, and already sell it via their own platform for £59.99 per month, making it one of the UK's fastest broadband packages that will also now be available to Vodafone customers.

Olaf Swantee, Chairman of Community Fibre, said, "We are delighted that VodafoneThree has selected Community Fibre as a strategic partner for the expansion of their full fibre broadband network in London. We are confident that our excellent reputation for fast, quality installations and reliable connectivity will support VodafoneThree's growing reputation for excellent customer service. This deal helps cement Community Fibre's position as the leading alternative fibre network in London."

The recent merger of Vodafone and Three UK, completed at the start of June 2025, will also see home broadband benefits being made available to Three UK's customer base too.

Vodafone already had the UK's largest full fibre footprint of over 20 million premises through their partnerships with Openreach and CityFibre, and this now stands at over 22.5 million thanks to Community Fibre as well as Three's Fixed Wireless Access offering.

Three UK customers on their Fixed Wireless Access package will also now be offered the chance to move to Vodafone full fibre home broadband where it's available to them.

The announcement to partner with Community Fibre strengthens VodafoneThree's goal to offer 100% of UK homes and businesses full fibre, or 'fibre-like', speeds.

Meanwhile however, competition in the UK broadband marketplace is continuing to heat up, with altnet Hyperoptic announcing plans to become an Openreach retailer in early 2026, while Sky is also planning to start reselling CityFibre connections this year alongside Vodafone and TalkTalk.

Max Taylor, CEO VodafoneThree, said, "Through our strong network of partnerships, we've built the biggest full fibre footprint in the country - all part of our commitment to bring fast, reliable broadband to as many households and businesses as possible. We're delighted to be partnering with Community Fibre, a company that shares our ambition to improve the customer experience, and are looking forward to launching in the market this summer.".
