Sky Glass Air offers a cheaper way to access Sky Glass, while still boasting 4K HDR.
Sky's latest addition to their TV line-up, the Sky Glass Air TV set, will be available from Tuesday, 10th June 2025.
Sky Glass Air offers a slimmed down version of the Glass gen 2 set. It continues to offer 4K HDR picture, while the Dolby Atmos soundbar has been replaced by smaller, Dolby Audio stereo speakers instead.
Priced from just £6 per month, Glass Air is positioned to be a more 'affordable' way to access a Sky streaming TV set.
Initially announced in February 2025, when Sky released their 2nd generation Glass set, Sky Glass Air will now be available for sale from Tuesday, 10th June 2025.
Sky Glass Air aims to offer a more affordable version of the Glass TV set, with prices starting at just £6 per month for the 43" set.
Despite being cheaper, prices for the Glass gen 2 set start at £14 per month, Glass Air still incorporates many of the same features, as well as using the same OS and Sky Stream platform.
Glass Air offers 4K HDR picture quality, with hands-free voice control, and built-in Dolby speakers and Sky box-set, so no satellite dish or box is required.
It's also available in the same size options of 43", 55", and 65", with a slimmer overall size, likely due to the removal of the Dolby Atmos soundbar found in the Glass gen 2.
And that's where users will find the main difference between the Glass gen 2 and the Glass Air, in the sound quality. Gen 2 offers seven built-in speakers, offering its own surround sound system, while the Glass Air has just a very standard two speaker stereo system.
Available from Tuesday, 10th June 2025, Sky Glass Air pricing will start at just £6 per month, plus the cost of Sky TV, which for Essential TV is just £15 per month.
The cheapest Glass Air contracts run for 48-months, whilst it's also possible to purchase Glass Air over 24-months for £12 per month.
The larger sets are available from £10 per month for the 55" set, and from £13 per month for the biggest 65" set.
While Glass Air will work as a standalone TV set, it can only be purchased on a contract-plan when taken with Sky TV.
The cheapest option is Sky Essential TV, which for £15 per month, customers gain access to Sky Atlantic, Netflix and Discovery+ Basic.
It's possible to upgrade to Sky Ultimate TV for £22 per month, which includes Essential TV plus an additional 42 premium channels, including Sky Entertainment, National Geographic, Comedy Central, and MTV.
However, customers can add premium packs like Sky Cinema, Sky Kids, Sky Sports and TNT Sports to either option on both 24-month and 31-day contracts, to better customise their Sky TV experience.
Outright prices for the Sky Glass Air are £309 for the 43", £509 for the 55", and £649 for the 65" set, making Glass Air less than half the price of the Glass gen 2 option.
