O2 customers can now save with discounted pricing on TNT Sports via Extras.
O2 customers can now access TNT Sports at a reduced price through the network's Extras service.
The new addition allows both new and existing customers to subscribe to TNT Sports via discovery+ for £26.99 a month, providing access to Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and rugby coverage.
Although only offered as a paid Extra, O2 mobile users who sign up will also receive a £2 discount on their monthly airtime bill.
From today, 9th October 2025, TNT Sports is available as part of O2 Extras, giving both new and existing customers the option to add the sports streaming service directly to their monthly bill.
The partnership means users can access TNT Sports' extensive coverage - including the Premier League, UEFA competitions, and top-tier rugby - through the Discovery+ app on mobile devices or at home.
Subscribers will pay £26.99 per month, saving £4 compared to the standard Discovery+ TNT Sports price of £30.99. In addition, O2 customers who add the service through Extras will receive a £2 monthly airtime discount, bringing the total saving to £6 per month.
The plan operates on a flexible 30-day rolling contract, giving users the freedom to cancel or change their subscription as needed.
David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said, "Sport has a special way of bringing people together, and now for the first time, we're expanding O2 Extras to include a sport subscription. With our new TNT Sports offering, O2 customers can enjoy every moment for less. For just £26.99 a month, families can gather round for epic football, rugby and tennis matches, as well as saving £2 on their monthly Airtime bill. The sporting action is just a tap away."
O2 Extras allow customers to bundle popular entertainment and lifestyle subscriptions - such as Disney+, Prime, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - into a single monthly payment alongside their mobile bill.
The feature offers added convenience by consolidating payments in one place and, in some cases, includes discounts or promotional incentives exclusive to O2 customers.
While TNT Sports is available as a paid Extra, some other subscriptions can be included at no extra cost for the duration of a mobile plan when customers choose an O2 Ultimate package.
However, users are advised to keep track of their active Extras to avoid unnecessary charges. Forgotten or unused subscriptions can add up over time, particularly as the number of streaming and entertainment services available through mobile networks continues to grow.
The partnership between O2 and TNT Sports follows a recent price increase for the channel pack on Virgin Media, O2's sister company.
From 26 June 2025, the cost of adding the TNT Sports TV pack for new or re-contracting Virgin Media customers rose from £18 to £25 per month - a change that positioned BT as the cheapest option for accessing TNT Sports within a broadband bundle.
BT broadband users can add TNT Sports for £23 per month, with standard-definition channels included as default. Customers wanting HD or TNT Sports Ultimate can upgrade for an additional £6 per month.
Sky TV also continues to offer competitive pricing, with all four TNT Sports channels available in full 1080p HD for £28 per month, or £25 per month when bundled with Sky Sports.
O2's latest move comes as Virgin Media expands its entertainment offering, recently becoming the first UK provider to include a Netflix subscription with a broadband-only plan.
While O2's deal may not be the lowest-priced option overall, it provides an accessible and flexible way for mobile users to save on Discovery+ streaming and consolidate their payments through a single bill.
