Camera


The camera on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max features a trio of 12MP lenses, with 26mm wide, 13mm ultrawide and 77mm telephoto cameras complemented by the TOF 3D LiDAR depth scanner that Apple has been including on their Pro and Pro Max handsets since 2020.

On the front of the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max there is a dual camera with a 12MP wide lens and a SL 3D depth and biometrics sensor.

4K video recording on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is available at 24/30/60 fps while 1080p recording is available at 30/60/120/240 fps. Cinematic Mode is a flagship feature on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. It allows users to follow subjects with video and automatically switch focus during a shoot. Cinematic Mode is capped at 1080p on the iPhone 13 range, so 4K is not supported on this mode.

Apple include a 120Hz refresh rate on the professional-grade models, so the iPhone 13 Pro Max will refresh up to 120 times per second to improve brightness and scrolling experience. The ProMotion display functionality offers a dynamic refresh rate between 10Hz and 120Hz, ensuring the handset can balance brightness with conserving battery life.

Storage


Up to 1TB of storage is available on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max. Other storage options available are 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. All these storage choices come with 6GB RAM.

Higher storage capacities are required to recording in ProRes at 4K, with users who are likely to record a lot of 4K video on their device benefitting the most from the biggest storage options.

Apple customers can offload unused apps and files to iCloud to save space on the device itself.

Design


Apple made a few design changes on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max compared to its predecessor, including a small notch, larger camera array and a 22g increase in weight to allow for the larger battery.

Fundamentally, the design of the iPhone 13 Pro Max matches the previous year's model with the same screen size, height and width.
