Virgin Media introduces new O2 SIM options with Volt

Virgin Media O2 has enhanced its Volt bundles, giving customers the option to choose from Classic, Plus, or Ultimate O2 SIM plans.

Customers who combine Virgin Media broadband with an O2 Pay Monthly SIM can tailor their Volt package to suit their needs - whether that's larger data allowances, extended roaming, or access to added extras.

Volt bundles continue to include signature perks such as double mobile data, a free broadband speed boost, the whole home WiFi guarantee, and roaming at no extra cost.

O2 SIM upgrades with Volt

From today, 13 October 2025, new and re-contracting customers who purchase a Virgin Media O2 Volt bundle will enjoy greater choice over the O2 SIM plan included.

Volt, which combines Virgin Media broadband with an O2 mobile SIM and a range of valuable perks, was previously limited to a single Classic Plan option with a fixed data allowance.

Customers can now upgrade or switch their SIM plan to access more data or choose a Plus or Ultimate plan for additional benefits and flexibility.

While the default O2 SIM plan included with Volt can vary - with some bundles offering a 10GB or even Unlimited data SIM as standard - the new range of options gives customers even more ways to save:

While it's not always possible to compare prices directly across all plans, Volt bundles clearly deliver better value, with O2 SIMs available at discounted rates compared to taking a mobile plan separately.

In addition, Volt customers can now add up to two extra O2 SIMs to their bundle at these reduced prices, all on 24-month contracts - making it even easier for families or multi-device users to stay connected for less.

Classic, Plus and Ultimate plans

O2 mobile SIMs can now be taken as a Classic, Plus, or Ultimate plan, each offering its own mix of data, perks, and flexibility.

This new flexibility means Volt customers can now choose the plan type and benefits that best suit their lifestyle, while still enjoying the full suite of Volt extras.

For example, O2 Plus plans let customers roll over unused data to the next month and include an O2 Extra for six months, offering added value.

Meanwhile, Ultimate plans take things further with roaming in 123 destinations, McAfee Security protection, unlimited MMS, and an O2 Extra for the entire duration of the plan - ideal for frequent travellers or heavy data users.

Inclusive O2 Extras include popular services such as Amazon Prime, Disney+ Premium, and Cafeyn digital magazines. Customers can also access discounted paid Extras, such as TNT Sports at just £26.99 per month - saving £6 every month compared to the standard price.
