Full fibre broadband with Virgin Media is now available to 18,000 more homes in Horsham for the first time.
Virgin Media have announced the build completion of their full fibre broadband in the town of Horsham, West Sussex.
18,000 more homes will now be able to access Virgin Media broadband and TV services for the first time, with download speeds available up to 2Gb per second.
The build has been completed by wholesale network Nexfibre, which was set up by the parent companies of Virgin Media and O2 to expand Virgin Media's reach.
Residents in Horsham can now sign up to full fibre broadband with Virgin Media, after the provider expanded their network to a further 18,000 homes in the town.
Broadband speeds are available up to 2Gb per second with Virgin Media's new Gig2 broadband plan, while competitive pricing is also available from just £25 per month for 132Mb per second.
The rollout has been funded by Nexfibre, a wholesale full fibre network, owned by the parent companies of Virgin Media and O2.
Nexfibre are investing £4.5 billion into expanding full fibre broadband throughout the UK in areas yet to receive any Virgin Media coverage. While Virgin Media themselves, are upgrading their existing network to full fibre by 2028.
But residents of Horsham, as well as nearby Southwater, are some of the first to benefit from the additional download speeds, as well as optional symmetrical upload speeds, bought by the new Virgin Media network build.

Julie Agnew, Managing Director of Fixed Network Expansion at Virgin Media O2 said, "18,000 more homes in Horsham can now feel the benefit of Virgin Media's services - with packages that include everything from next generation multigigabit broadband to easy-to-use TV streaming and entertainment services.
"These ultrareliable full fibre to the home broadband connections come with speeds - up to 31 times faster than local average - providing total peace of mind that whatever you're doing online, you'll never be slowed down by your service."
In addition to Horsham and Southwater, Nexfibre has also rolled out Virgin Media broadband to nearby Haywards Heath in West Sussex, Godalming in Surrey, and west of Chichester towards Portsmouth, including Emsworth.
Nexfibre have recently released their latest quarterly report, up to 30th September 2024, revealing a footprint of just under 1.6 million premises across the UK.
The network has plans to reach a total of 5 million premises by the end of 2026, all of which will be homes without current Virgin Media coverage, bringing Virgin Media's own coverage figures up to 23 million in total.
Nexfibre's recent report states they remain on track to reach a footprint of 2 million premises by the end of 2024, with all homes connected with XGS-PON full fibre technology, which can support symmetrical speeds up to 10Gb per second.
They've also published their build plans for the remainder of 2024, 2025 and into 2026, highlighting the new and upcoming areas to benefit from Virgin Media's full fibre broadband.
