Lyndsey Burton is the Founder and Managing Director of Choose, a UK consumer advice and comparison site she launched in 2003 as a self-taught web developer.
With more than 20 years' experience editing, commissioning and publishing consumer guidance, Lyndsey oversees all editorial output on Choose. Her work focuses on broadband, mobile, energy and personal finance, with particular expertise in pricing fairness, digital inclusion, market regulation and consumer protection in regulated markets.
Her analysis and commentary on broadband affordability, social tariffs and digital exclusion have informed public policy discussions and have been cited in written evidence submitted to the UK Parliament's House of Lords Communications and Digital Select Committee.
Lyndsey has written and contributed editorial analysis for a wide range of academic, policy, national media and industry publications, including work on fuel poverty, digital infrastructure resilience, broadband regulation and energy market reform.
Under her leadership, Choose has grown into a multi-sector consumer resource guided by the Choose Promise - a commitment to transparency, independence and clear explanations - alongside Choose Campaigns, which focus on highlighting market failures and improving outcomes for consumers.
Lyndsey is responsible for setting editorial standards across Choose and for ensuring that all consumer advice is accurate, current and independently researched.
She is available for expert comment and analysis on UK consumer affairs, digital inclusion, broadband and mobile markets, household energy costs and related public policy issues.
