Post Office

They might be best known for snail mail but over the past few years the Post Office have demonstrated that they're more than capable of delivering well managed and modern financial products, too. The products do show that they did manage to gain some insight from their great height as the UK's postal service, though: Post Office credit card deals are more likely than most to offer extra protection on purchases. Rewards based around the Post Office's booming travel money business are also common.

As we write this in early 2014, Post Office are taking their first tentative steps into the current account market. Though basic accounts just for benefit payments have been available through branches for some years, a range of free in credit and packaged current accounts is likely to broaden the Post Office's appeal when they launch throughout the UK.

Post Office Credit Cards are provided by Bank of Ireland UK. Post Office Limited is a credit broker and not a lender.
